For Sale: Optimist dinghy, #7945, built by McLaughlin in 1998, and
registered with the USODA. The first owner raced it competitively in the
Huntington area, but our son never got into racing. It has a racing
mast/boom and sail, plus racing blades (fiberglass), all in excellent
condition. It also has a "training" mast/boom and sail (no sail number)
plus varnished wooden blades for everyday use. Also included is a Seitech

I am bowing out of ownership in Vim because I'm swallowing the anchor
upstate about a hundred miles north of here. I wish to sell my fifty-percent
share of equity in Vim and would like to give DYS members first refusal. The
lucky taker would be partnered with John Jainschigg, my current partner,
someone I esteem for integrity and intelligence. What with market reverses
and all, I recommend Vim as a great boat at a modest price and, above all,
as a performer. Vim won third place in 1995, and first place in 1997, Division 1 of the Around Long Island race. She can do it again. Anyone
